It’s the second day of the daily blog and I’m writing this at thirteen minutes to midnight.
Classic Clarey.
I was going to post a new chapter of Date Night tonight, buuuut…
(I bet you’ve already guessed where this is going.)
I got distracted.
HOWEVER, it’s the kind of distraction you’re going to like, I promise. Because after all my talk yesterday of writing Tall Drink of Slaughter, today when I sat down at my computer I accidentally started working on Not A Clue, the next Charlie Davies Mystery.
Yep. Seems I’m totally incapable of working on just one book at the moment. Ah well. They’re all going to get written eventually. (And I doubt I have many readers who’ll be upset that I’m writing a new Charlie book.)
Six minutes until midnight now…
(I usually write faster than this, but I’m currently watching Elementary so I’m a tad… drumroll… distracted! I think tomorrow morning I might try turning the internet off and writing first thing. See if that helps me while I’m getting stuck into the new episode of Date Night. And then whatever book I feel like working on at the time. Any predictions? I think I’ll be back on the Keely South train tomorrow. Or on the Keely South camper van, I guess. Which will make sense when you read it.)
OK, now it’s midnight. Does this still count as maintaining my streak? (Of two days?)
